Why some doors all of a sudden slam closed

Posted on Updated on

I have recently had to deal with an unexpected change in my life. Did I get upset? Yes? How was all this new news going to affect my life? As soon as I received the news I called my husband whom promptly told me not to worry about it, their loss and now I would have time for other things.

The next day it was still tender news and still a shock. Then all of a sudden I started remembering bills that were upcoming. How was we going to cover them? I started stressing and getting upset. That is when I set down and prayed about it all again. I felt a sudden peace go over me and I knew God had it handled. He always does but sometimes we jump the gun and try to take care of things on our own.

Now a few days later everything is falling into place and I can see how some things are already working. I know we will be fine and I also know God has something in mind for me. Sometimes he has to slam a door closed to get our attention because we were not listening before. Several months ago I felt a strong urge to leave the job but couldn’t bring myself to do it, I kept talking myself out of it. So now God didn’t give me an option, he did it for me.

So if something sudden happens in your life – Remember – God is just getting your attention! He has something far better in mind.

Today is the day

Posted on Updated on

Hope everyone is having a great day! I would like to take this time to remind you that only you can make the changes in your life and decide if you want to be Happy. You are in control of your life, no one else can do it for you. You must decide what you want out of life and go for it! Remember its the little things that add up to the big things.

Decide what you want and then take small steps or as I like to say – stepping stones to get what you want. If you try to do it all at once then it can become overwhelming, which can cause you to throw the towel in and give up. You must learn to do a little at a time and the more little things you do then the closer to your goal you will get.

May GOD Bless YOU!
Every day is an opportunity to make your life the way you want it to be. Anything is possible when you work toward it, one day at a time. Skip a day, and you lose momentum. Try to do it all at once, and you burn out. Steadily, consistently work, making every day count, and you will reach your goals. Today is a chance to grow – to do a little bit more than you did yesterday, a little bit better, a little bit more effectively. Anyone can do a little more, learn a little more, and grow a little more each day. Soon, with consistent effort, those “little bits” add up to major accomplishments. Is there something you want to change? Today is the day to start changing it. Is there a new customer you want to land? Today is the day to start making it happen. Do you need to lose weight? Today is the day to start doing it. Not next Monday or next month – today. You deserve to reach your goals as soon as possible. Control today and you control your life.

Let it Go!

Posted on

If you have a little girl like I do then you have more than likely seen Frozen a million times and have those songs from the movie stuck in your head. One song in particular comes to mind “Let it Go”!!.
Every time I hear the song I can’t help but think of all the things that I need to let go. Why do we always worry and stress? It never does any good and never gets us anywhere. We grow older and cause more problems when we stress. Like the picture above says Worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it doesn’t get you anywhere.
I have found from experience that it does not do any good to stress and in the end God is always there to take care of us. He always provides exactly what we need exactly when we need it. So the next time you start to stress remember“LET IT GO”!

God will sustain us, He will never let us fall, and He cares for us. Taken one at a time, we see first that God declares both His ability and His willingness to be our strength and support—mentally, emotionally and spiritually. He is able (and best of all, willing!) to take everything that threatens to overwhelm us and use it for our benefit. He has promised to “work all things together for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Even at times when we doubt Him, He is still working for our good and His glory. And He has also promised that He will allow no trial to be so great we cannot bear it and that He will provide a means of escape 1 Corinthians 10:13. By this, He means that He will not let us fall, as He promised in Psalm 55:22
So the next time you hear that famous song from Frozen – just like it says – LET IT GO!!
